Meredith, Marjorie Ellen, 89, of Ramsey , NJ , went home to be with her Savior on
February 2, 2010 at the Allendale Nursing Home two months shy of her 90th birthday.
She was born on April 1, 1920 to Anne Morris Thompson and Thomas W.A. Thompson, both born and raised in Wales . She spent her life taking care of others. She said she was always taught to make herself useful, and she did just that to her family and friends over the years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, N. J. and the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She was the devoted wife of the late William Meredith, and the loving mother of four children, Anne Jackson, of Williamsburg , VA. , Gail Cornwell, of Saddle River, N.J., Ruth Badaracco, of Ramsey, N.J., and David Meredith, of Wilmington, DE.. She was also a wonderful "Nanny" to her eleven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 5, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, 15 Shuart Lane, Ramsey, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey would be appreciated. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
