DeGaetano, Peter 63, of Mahwah, NJ passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on March 4, 2010.

Born on August 15, 1946 in Brooklyn NY, he was the son of Nancy and the late Arthur DeGaetano. Peter grew up in River Edge and lived his entire life in New Jersey. He attended Siena College where he was an All-American baseball player. He had a successful 40 year career in the cosmetic industry and was an Executive Vice President of Verla International Ltd. Peter loved his family dearly and had a great passion for sports.

Peter will always be with us being survived by his loving wife Mary Ann DeGaetano (nee Myer), his son Arthur, his mother Nancy and his brother Arthur. He was a grandfather and coach to his grandsons Peter (11) and Matthew (9). Peter was a very special man who was blessed with great family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to tribute him on Monday, March 8, from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ 07446 (201-327-0030). A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Peter DeGaetano Memorial Fund which will send local children to sports camps in his honor. We love you Pete, you're the best!
