Laheney, Michael Timothy, 55, of Mahwah, passed away peacefully at home Friday, March 24, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Ridgewood, NJ and raised in Ramsey, NJ where he attended Ramsey High School and graduated from Ramapo College of NJ with a BA in Business. Mike was determined and passionate about everything he set his mind to, he was born to be successful in every aspect of his life. While working at Teterboro Chrysler he worked his way up to Finance Manager. He then went on to start his own company, All American Mortgage in Paramus, NJ. He touched many lives because his business was his passion. Mike had a work ethic like no other, clients regularly became family to him. He exuded such drive and charisma that made people feel instantly comfortable in his presence. He had wonderfully loyal employees that helped build his company and make it the thriving corporation that it is today. He valued his employees and truly thought of them as family. Mike also was a part of BNI and an active member of The Mahwah Chamber of Commerce. Mike loved to travel and was always up for a party whether hosting one of his own or attending a friend's. He always had a joke on hand for a colleague, friend or small child – he wanted everyone to smile, laugh and feel special. Mike had a knack for going out of his way to make people feel like they were the most important person in the room. He would go out of his way to help a friend, Mike was the kind of person that made friends no matter where he went and always loved making connections. Wherever Mike went he would bump into someone he knew whether it was the local Shop Rite or away on a wonderful vacation in Hawaii, near or far he found and made friends. His wife would tease him that he thought he was the mayor. Mike truly had a true zest for life, a bigger than life personality and a passion for people but his family was the most important aspect of his life. He married the love of his life Donna in Antigua and they began their love story, which ended much too soon. He had special relationships with his parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and of course, his beloved wife the most valued part of his life. Mike was predeceased by his parents James and Florence. Mike is survived by his loving wife Donna and their dog Shadow. He leaves behind his siblings and their spouses Kathy, James, John, Patricia Kolb, Barbara Guido, his mother-in-law Marie Lupo, as well as his wife's siblings and spouses Ann Marie Oliverie, Diane Campanella, Michael Lupo as well as many nieces and nephews. Mike will be missed tremendously.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church in Ramsey, NJ. Cremation will be private.
