GURGICK John Leo, age 69, of Upper Saddle River, on Thursday February 18, 2010.
Beloved husband of Joy (nee Markiewicz). Devoted father of Tara Gurgick, Laura and her husband Gary Goris. Cherished grandfather of Hailey. Adored nephew of Julia George and Basil Gulick. Dearest brother-in-law of Deborah and her husband George. Favorite uncle and Godfather of Katharine. John served his country proudly in the Navy and was a graduate from Wilkes Barre College where he received his Bachelors Degree. He Achieved his masters at Scranton University both in PA. He attended courses at NYU and completed his Dissertation for his Doctorate at Pacific University, CA. John was a caring and giving individual always putting others in front of his needs. He worked for the Veterans Administration of NJ as a Psychologist. He was the owner and operator of the Softball Pitching Center in Ramsey. He also Coached Youth Basketball & Softball in Upper Saddle River.
The family will receive their friends on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh- Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. Religious Service Monday 11 AM in Funeral Home.
