Having worked for years with Peter through Mary Kay, I know him to be a gentleman and the consummate professional. His warmth and generosity was extended to all. Peter was always willing to go out of his way to help, and I recently spoke to him when he called to provide me some contact information. The pride and joy he felt for his family was always a part of any conversation. I know he will be missed by so many. With deepest sympathy. Lynn Phillips

Dear Mary and Art:

Gary and I were truly shocked to hear about Pete. He was an absolute gentleman and he was always so spirited, fun and full of life! In fact, you were the first people to welcome us to our home! We had such a great time together at the recent RV holiday party. He was a delight! And, he was so proud of you all --- Mary, Art and the boys. He will live on in everyone's heart. Take care and you are in our prayers.

I just found out about Peter. Shocked. Since the 1984 I have bought packaging from Peter. He always came in with a smile, a tan, and always so well dresssed. A true professional in our industry. Peter was blessed with the ablity to befriend everyone. I last saw him smiling at the fall 2009 HBA show in NYC. I will miss him and send my condolences to his close friends and family.

To Mary DeGaetano and Family:

I have known Peter for close to my entire 19 years career with Mary Kay. I cannot express how much his passing has affected me both mentally and physically. I also know I cannot phantom the impact Peter's passing has had on your lives. I wish I could be there in person to offer my condolesences and to share some great stories. Peter was a living legend in my mind and I know he loved his family very much. My deepest sympathies go out to the DeGaetano family. Robert Lopez, Mary Kay Inc.

I worked with Peter at Topline for 5 years and what a joy he was. Always pleasant, thoughtful and humerous (and full of jokes). In addition, Peter somehow, magically obtained tickets to a Met's game, August of '08, for my spouse's 75th birthday and we will be forever grateful for his kindness and generosity.

Dear Mary and Son Arthur:
We have never met, but I have known Peter for over 35 years.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him from the Packaging and Cosmetic Market.
Peter was beyond generous and helpful to all that he worked with, competed against, and of course his customers.
Peter was a wonderful throwback to a fellow that cultivated relationships.
We will all miss his big smile and his impeccable stle of dress. He always looked and acted like he was walking down the ramp from a yacht in Monaco.
Sincere sympathy,

To one of the finest salesmen I have known-- Peter D (as he called himself) was more than an sales rep. He was a close friend & colleague. I have known Peter for 35 years- as he called on me at Mary Kay through my entire career. Always professional, you can count on Peter to deliver. I followed him like a Hair dresser and just recently last week started to work with Peter on yet another project. To Mary, Aurther and his grandsons, he spoke of you all constantly. His love of his wife, grandsons and sports were the top of his list. I am so very sad and I will miss him so much. With my deepest sympathy. Janet A-Brilliant

I'm shocked at this expected bad news and couldn't believe this is real. I've been working with Peter closely in the past a few years, and he is a such nice person, humourous, and with great personality. His joks make me laugh that I could never forget. May his body and soul rest in peace and God bless his family.

Digi was a dear friend of mine growing up! We went to so many basketball games in NY together and played so many pick up games. I lost touch with Pete, but thought of him often. Ted Arfsten, Pete's good friend brought me up to date on Pete. My best thoughts go out to the family!

I went to high school with Peter and remember him as a fun-loving guy with a huge smile. When I worked at Bloomingdales, he always stopped by the credit office to say hi. He was so very proud of his son. Please accept my condolences.
